Synonymes : STG

Although not a protection of origin it corresponds to a product whose specific qualities are linked to a composition, manufacturing or processing methods based on a tradition. It only applies to agricultural products or foodstuffs and is based on the specific and traditional character of the latter.

The Traditional Speciality Guaranteed relates to a use of know-how, an ancient practice, or the typical, national, regional or local specifics of a product. However, the product can be made outside of its country or region of origin or production.
